magento - script to convert attributes

Job Description:
We need some script to process all attributes and products. It should convert all given attributes of type "dropdown (select)" to type "multiselect".
Suppose we have some attribute of type "select", ex. "power_supply_type". It has options with values:
'12', '12|24', '12|24|PoE', '12|PoE', '220', '24', '24|PoE', '5', 'PoE'
where "|" – is delimiter.
We need (as i see it):
1. Create new "multiselect" attribute "power_supply_type_multi". Put it in the same attribute set as the old one ("power_supply_type"). Assign options with values: '12', '24', 'PoE', '220', '5 ';
2. Process all products which have attribute "power_supply_type": assign appropriate options for "power_supply_type_multi";
3. Delete "power_supply_type";
4. Reindex.
