Staff file upload system for internet radio station
Aim: Presenters to upload their program voice tracks direct to the Hitz 247 on air system & backup of voice track to be stored in a separate nominated location
Upload system to verify that voice track is correctly named (including a check that the naming conforms with the presenters allocated program time, that there hasn't been a previous submission for that program time). Will also send a confirmation email to program manager once successfully uploaded.
If not uploaded 48 hours before scheduled program time, remind email to be sent to presenter and program manager. If not uploaded within 24 emails and sms to be sent to staff member and program manager .com
Upload form / user interface
Each presenter is to have a separate login account. The account will contain their name, program name, and the days of week and hours of their program. These will be the only days and times for which they will be permitted to upload programs.
After logging in, the staff member will nominate from a drop down list (or similar) the day, date and hour and the number of talk breaks (minimum 5) that they will be uploading. The presenter will then be permitted to upload mp3 files for that hour. The "Upload" button will be greyed out until the specified number of talk breaks have been selected and the selected files are mp3 format and the file name conforms with the following naming convention.
Each file should be named [url removed, login to view]
mmm is the first three letters of the month
dd is the date
hh is the hour
nn is the minutes that the talk break is scheduled to be broadcast.
For example, a talk break that is to be broadcast on 31 January at [url removed, login to view] the talk break file should be named [url removed, login to view]
The presenter will then have the opportunity to upload talk break files for further hours.
The staff member's account email and program will be sent a confirmation email once each hour has been successfully uploaded.
Back end/file distribution system
An application will need to be installed on three Windows computers in order for the talk break files to be downloaded onto specific directories on those computers.
The application will be able to be programmed by the user to download files at a scheduled time.
A confirmation email (or error email) must be sent to a user nominated email address once the download has completed (or failed).

I currently run a mostly automated Shoutcast radio station and have done work very similar to this in the past. This could be done with its own user database, or incorporated into an existing user database.
