PHP & OSC Pros Only!

I have 2 scripts. These are heavily modified versions of oscommerce. They are almost the same thing, with the major difference being that 1 of them includes 'sppc'. Now for the issue and task: Scripts work perfectly fine in typical LAMP environment with ioncube loaders installed with php version 5.2.12. Since current release of php 5.3, warnings are generated in regards to depreciated functions. Deprecated: Function eregi() Deprecated: Function ereg_replace() Deprecated: Function ereg_replace(), etc... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are several sites that demonstrate the issue and the remedies: ereg would go to preg_match or strstr or strpos, e.g. if (ereg('->', $use_function)) { would become if (preg_match('{->}', $use_function)) { or if (strstr('->', $use_function) !== false) { or if (strpos('->', $use_function) !== false) { [login to view URL] [login to view URL]%20deprecated__fromsearch__1&#entry1447311 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know how to simply turn off the error reporting which is all fine and dandy for now, so please don't just tell me to do that or worse, you simply do that and tell me it's fixed. I need someone to go through these scripts, replace depreciated functions and make sure that they will both run 'error free', from installation to post-install, on current version of php so that when php6 is released, there won't be any issues.
