Small freelancer job in MS Access with MS SQL ’08 and VB Script.
We have an MS Access 2010 database (connected to an MSSQL ’08 server) that, upon click of a button, copies names & addresses and such from a set-aside processing table to its more permanent home [url removed, login to view] MySQL, we can partially avoid duplicate record creation brought on by this record copying using the REPLACE INTO syntax, but not in this version of [url removed, login to view] need a procedure that gets us to the same place, i.e., for any records which are already in the target table, UPDATE, otherwise INSERT, based on matching a given key. We're sick of inserting blind and scanning for duplicates afterwards!
We will not be able to provide direct access to the DB in question but can provide the record copying SQL statement and surrounding VB script on the button.
·Any new VBScript and/or SQL commands that implement the requested action OR a completed example from your own Access creation
·If any new tables are required to complete the procedure, we will need the SQL definitions of said tables (of course).
