Project Description

We have a great PHP mapping application which uses the Google maps v2 API. The v2 will no longer work after May this year. Therefore we want to migrate a.s.a.p. to Openstreetmap Leaflet (see [url removed, login to view]) leaving the interface and calendar intact for getting data from a MySQL DB onto the map.

Because we also changed our GPS hardware, we need the mapping scripts adjusted to the way this hardware is saving its data in the MySQL DB. For the way the data are saved by our GPS module there are very good PHP scripts with superb explanation of all kinds of advanced functions. E.g. the old GPS module sent and saved the GPS data in raw NMEA format and the mapping scripts transformed these into decimal latitude longitude format (as Google uses on its maps). The new module however sends the GPS data straight as decimal latitude longitude format, but in an encrypted way storing it in the DB as BLOB. The example PHP scripts we have show perfectly with which functions the decimal latitudes & longitude can be retrieved from the BLOB data.

Of course more data (e.g. the HDOP GPS values and quality of GPS fix) from this BLOB need to be extracted and should be shown on the map and separately with a [url removed, login to view] file as a html table at request. There also functions available for this.

Further explanation will follow after accepting the bid.
