Project Description

I have a website and I can determine lat / long of a user from HTML pages based on javascript / PHP. I need to ascertain this on mobile devices not using APIs based on Google, IP lookup or standard HTML 5. Using a javascript script on a single page HTML page, for any smart phone, chiefly IPhone and Android, I need to ascertain a user's Lat/long when they land on the page.

In addition, I think the project should only take 1-2 hours.

Hi I am evaluating HTML5 [url removed, login to view] functionality [url removed, login to view] API, which whilst fine for Desktop, do not appear that good for mobile devices. All I need is the function which I can then manipulate. I programme in PHP and Jscript. I already have a page which detects if it is a mobile device and redirects user to an optimised page. My problem is that standard HTML 5 direct functions calls (or API) require the user to allow access to reveal their lat/ long. I just need a routine / function to help me access the cell tower logs and bypass user intervention. I am not sure if it can be done outside the native SDKs. With that, I can do the rest.

I need something very simple. A HTML page with Javascript which can detect a user's lat long on main smart phones even if user has not allowed access to reveal location, probably using cell tower logs - See
