Project Description

Hi there,

(NOTE attachements as discussed, will be provided to successful applicant)

Basically I need a way of automating link charts in Maltego Case File and then viewing them within our filemaker solution.

We have an ever expanding Filemaker database that keeps various company records and data like phone numbers, addresses, Skype accounts, etc. Sometimes one company has a matching phone number and or other elements to another company or even multiple other companies. When this happens, I assign a "relationship" name to the group of companies that have a match. Sometimes up to 50 companies will be part of one relationship..

I use Maltego Case File to create link charts visualising these relationships, see the attachments for an example.

Currently I have to manually import tables (using an .xlsx spreadsheet, see attached example ) into Maltego case file and then manually map each column to a case file entity type, e.g., company, phone number, fax etc.. Once I have a link chart in Case File, I export it as a PNG image, and then drag that image into a container field in my filemaker database.

(Note that the column headers you see in the example spreadsheet will probably always stay the same. the second row contains the name of the case file entity that the column has to be mapped as)

All in all, the above process is not a practical solution and means that charts need to be created from scratch every time that entities in the data are updated. So I need a way of dynamically generating link charts in MAltego and accessing them through our Filemaker Database.. Filemaker allowsme to drag in images (exported images from case file) or to view html pages in a web viewer - which is probably the best solution for this project.

Here's how i think the Dev will work, by basically automating what I do myself. There is probably a better way to do this if you understand the architecture of Case File.

A Filemaker Script allows user to export the relevant data to a spreadsheet (i.e all data for a single relationship) - I will handle this
Case File grabs the file somehow and maps all the columns correctly (Graph Import Wizard - Map Columns to Entities)
Case File links company entity to all other entities (Graph Import Wizard - Connectivity)
Case File deletes all blank nodes in the entity list
Case File Selects all Company entities, then children, then outgoing links,
Case File delete selected (the outgoing links)
Case File selects all companies
Case File exports a png image locally or directly to a server filed named as under the directory "Relationship Name > PNG". The PNG file itself will naturally overwrite any previous images by the same name
If Case File cant directly export to a server then the local machine will do it.
CAse File exports maltego file (mtgx) locally, (filed named as "_ )
The web viewer function in filemaker knows what URL it needs to vista to find the latest png image - I will handle this

Other Requirements

Filemaker Server Side Script to initiate fortnightly updates of link charts for all relationships and store saved mtgx files on a server (filed named as "_ .mtgx) under the directory "Relationship Name > MTGX"

If there is a way that mtgx files can be edited within a browser, then we could rethink our entire approach.

My version of Case File has some custom entity types, as you will see listed in the example spreadsheet - I have attached these custom entities to help with testing.
