Our client is a music studio. On the client website in development, we have a custom jQuery-based slider originally built by another programmer. We're using JPlayer ([url removed, login to view]) to add an embedded "play" link to several of the slides to allow visitors to sample an audio recording right from the current slide. This functionality works well. THE PROBLEM: Currently, when the user plays the audio sample, the slider continues on to the next slide, even if the audio is still playing, removing the play/stop control from view until the slider rotates back to the slide in question.
I believe these two scripts need to be linked together somehow. We would prefer that the slide pause when the sample is being played, and that some indicator shows the slide to be paused (perhaps a div that shows up, which we control the contents to?). And of course, there should be a link to continue advancing the slides. We're open to ideas on making this user friendly. Implementation of the script should be flexible enough to be used on future products with similar requirements.
Our specialty is graphic design, so we are in need of some programming assistance for this and other small projects.
