Project Description

I need two scripts that make the news feeds from my twitter and facebook accounts available for use in my own php programme.

This is the "news", or "home" feed that contains all tweets or facebook posts by the accounts I have "liked" or "followed". I want to run it on a cron job every hour or so, so the scripts needs to be autonomous - no logging in or user interaction to keep access tokens up to date.

Each script will only need to connect to one FB or Twitter account, which I will provide the details for, and the account number can be stored in the script as a simple variable. There should also be instructions on how to approve the app for a new FB or twitter account (permissions, etc), just in case I ever need to.

The scripts need to work from a cron job, so no user interaction to grant permissions or fetch access tokens.

Paging - as far as I know Facebook only returns 25 posts at a time, and I think Twitter has limits as well.

I will probably need more than that, so a loop to fetch more results will be required. This should be controlled by a simple variable - ie $pages=10 would fetch 10 pages, or 250 results.

I only need this to run on one facebook account and one Twitter account, but just in case those accounts change, enough instructions to set it up on a new account will be needed.

Ideally the script will use the basic facebook php sdk, available from the Facebook developer site.

No complicated classes - this is a pretty simple script, so I'd like to be able to understand it!

The output from each should be a php array variable that I can loop through to extract a list of facebook posts and tweets and do my own thing with. For demonstration purposes, just do a print_r($output); so I can see the resulting array.

I will provide logins for the facebook and twitter accounts that will be used, and sign them up to "follow" and "like" some sample accounts for testing purposes.
