Project Description

For the start page of our insitutional website we use a special html template showing a cloud of words with a number of colour and animation effects made in javascript. This is already in use on the start page (experimental).

What we now need is an extension to enable us to change the words (and their links, colours and animation behaviour) without touching the template html. Currently words, links, and their behaviour can be changed only by re-writing the template html. We need, however, more flexibility and comfort.

Concretely we need:

In the backend: A dialogue where we can assign to words or phrases (our start page items) certain links, and up to three html tags each adorned with certain classes. The number of words (start page items) will be 22 in our case, but since some of the words rotate (js animation), the actual number of lines in the backend will be higher. It should actually be freely adjustable.

The extension will provide the necessary html output for the frontend to support our animated design, by marker(s) to be placed in the html template for the frontpage.

Similarly, the same output should be available in the content pages (in something like a right column), in order to reflect the start page items here, too, with similar but not identical appearance. (Appearance is controled over the CSS, which is our own taks, not yours.)

This is a very rough description of the job. For details see the attached file (pdf). Please read it thorrougly, as many of your questions will become clear with this document. - Details of the project may be reconsidered and altered based on the advice of the worker.
