Project Description

This Wordpress plugin will change an element of the web site regularly on a schedule, at the specified date/time (details will be provided later). The plugin admin interface should allow the user to easily configure multiple events, such that they can set for specific times, days of the week, and days of the month (1st Friday of the month, for example).

Also, the plugin admin should assist the user in configuring the correct syntax for a cron job (or jobs) to initiate the desired action. There should be three options available 1. command line using cron 2. command line using curl 3. a third-party cron service.

The plugin admin should display the server time and allow the user to set a time differential to compensate for the difference between local time and server time. Event times should be in the user's local time, not server time.

Plugin central administration and security - To prevent piracy, each instance of the plugin should communicate back to an administration system console. The administration system should verify the end user has a valid account. The number of installs available should be controlled, although an unlimited number option should also be available on the back-end admin console if the user has that level of access. If the user attempts to block the plugin from communicating to the central administration system, the plugin should stop working.

While the budget is not unlimited, it is somewhat negotiable.
