We are seeking engineer(s) to develop the software for a Wi-Fi Network. We wish to take multiple Wi-Fi Nodes and work them as both public and/or private network (LAN). The Nodes will function as 'Hot-Spots", routers, servers, very simple web-sites, and data I/O points.
The hardware platform will consist a Radio Module (such as LS Research 450-037 or equal), a computer (800 mHz, 32-bit – Broadcom or Freescale types), and an SSD (0.5 – 1 TB). Linux based, as much open-source and SOTS as possible.
This is a project starting with Architecture and proceeding through design, development, testing, and production along with life-extension upgrades.
Software skills included networking, server and router techniques, Wi-Fi, Linux, some familiarity with hardware components desired. Specifically you have to write and integrate software, generally you have to understand the system and network.
