Symptoms: Large wordpress database may have corrupt tables. Every few days or so, the site hangs and has extremely long load times with 'unable to connect to database' on wordpress, and '1040 too many connections' on phpmyadmin. Raising max_connections and turning off persistent connections does not solve this issue. Most likely corrupt database. Repair datatabse does not work.
Task: Pinpoint and fix this problem by cleaning, organizing, optimizing the MySQL database, and deleting all plugin databases for inactive plugins. Backup your work.
