We're looking for individuals who are self starters, and are very familiar with the hosting industry and love it's challenges. We are primarily looking for web hosting guru's in North America who will be able to make the occasional outbound support call, and respond to support tickets in our support desk and resolve customer issues. This is a salaried position where hours may vary. We will work with schedules however most of the positions are for Daytime work.
The position is for level 2 or 3 system administrators who are primarily proficient in Linux (CentOS), but is also capable of handling Windows administration. Daily activities will be answering support tickets, maintaining our server farm as issues arise, and projects of varying degrees, which require a high level (Tier 2/3) technical expertise.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Passion for learning, ability to work independently of supervision, intimate knowledge of cPanel/WHM, excellent inter-personal and communication skills, the desire to be challenged on a daily basis, Linux OS and applications (apache, PHP, MySQL, IPtables, etc), Security applications (APF, BFD, CSF, DoS mitigation, etc).
Desired skills (not required):
OnApp, DDoS Mitigation, Nginx, HA Proxies, and [url removed, login to view] degree or certifications is required. Self taught candidates are welcome, as are those possessing formal degrees and certifications.
U.S. based applicants are given preference, however we are open to any location assuming fluency in English. A Back-ground check and a government issued ID will be required if offered a position.
If selected you will be required to be online with skype during your shift and have access to a phone for 2 factor authentication into our systems and urgent support related issues.
