Project Description

I am looking for some innovative thinkers / programmers who can capture my requirements and convert them into an automatic scripting solution.

The Current Help Desk Desktop Icon simply provides the Service Desk telephone number & a Mail-to Option with no logic / intelligence. I would like to attempt to capture the following.

1. User Clicks on the “New?? Helpdesk Icon

[url removed, login to view] is prompted with a “Information Window?? stating the following “Please wait while Windows performs inventory on your System. Your patience is appreciated??

a. During this time, I would like to run (or something similar) the following PS TOOLS Commands

i.? ? ? ? ? ? Psloglist ??"h 2 (This captures the eventlog for the last 2 hours)
ii.? ? ? ? ? psloggedon ??" Captures the User’s Logon & Domain
iii.? ? ? ? psinfo ??" Captures basic computer information (Computer Name / OS / SP / IE Version / CPU / RAM Etc…)

b. I would like these three commands to run and subsequently append to “1?? text file which will stored in a temp folder

3. Step 2 is performed, the client is prompted with a “NEW?? email message.

a. TO = <opssd@[url removed, login to view]>
b. Subject = IT Service Desk - …… (this can be configurable)
c. Body = (Configurable)
d. Attachment = The txt file that was created during the initial launch of the icon

Attached is a SAMPLE Template that I was trying to promote, however requires user interaction, where if we can script the information without involving the client, this would add benefits both to the client and the Service Desk.

Please let me know if anyone is interested, and provide me some sample solutions. Please keep in mind that we must try to use what we have in order to ensure that corporate security can approve this “scripted?? application.

Thank you
