Project Description

Here is what the project is about. I need to develop a social networking website. I intend to use Drupal as my CMS.
As expected, I need a landing page. The landing page is to look similar to Linked In with a sign up widget on the right and a search option. On the left shall be the site’s logo and information for the client like: What is [site name]? How does it benefit you?
Later I may want to implement a merchant and charge membership fees.
I need a search results page set up.
I need other basic pages like About, Contact, etc.
I need users to be able to log in and create a page.
The page is to have a top navigation bar and a second title/info bar just below that.
Under the second bar is to be two columns: The left side has information where the user can make a single post with content at a time like a picture, then a PDF document, then something else and so on and so forth. On the right side the column is for other members of the site to leave their very own comments about the user.
At the footer is the usual quick links to places on the site.
I would like each member to have a number showing above their profile picture that indicates how many messages they have obtained on their profile page(the ones on the right side column) that can be seen in searches and in postings.
I don’t intend to have movies, videos or no heavy media nor do I plan to later.
I don’t need users to send messages and updates to each other. There’s no linking, friend-adding, favoriting, dating, or any of that. The only functions needed are what is mentioned here.
My vision is a clean and very strait forward website. Nothing like Facebook or Myspace or even Linked In. Just simple as described above.
Thanks for looking! I look forward to your bid!
