This project will be developed as 3 tier J2EE application solution to manage all aspects of the national school systems from students, instructors, and different schools throughout the country. Fully supported – tracking – audit - data analytics for fraud detection.

The core functionality for the first release will be focus on the following:

1. Creation of profile for the following entities:

a. Students

b. Schools

c. Teachers

The application should support Synchronous and Asynchronous profile creation.

• Synchronous Profile creation will be based on an intelligent Web Based User interface (Ajax/Dojo/HTML5/JSP/JSF/Servlet) to allow an operator user in web browser to create profile

• Asynchronous Message Driven Profile creation will be based on a message driven adapter to receive message from a JMS queue

• A Web Service profile creation will be based on soap over http messages from authorize system/devices

The profile creation service will be a J2EE service (JPA and JDBC) support all the 3 channels above (web, JMS queue, and Web Services)

2. Reporting Searchable pages based on a Smart Web-based Portal with the following functionalities:

a. Report on Students

b. Report on Schools

c. Report on Teachers

Searches will be categorized as follow:

• Find Student per: Name, address, parents, schools, teachers based on:

o Geo location: National, Department, Arrondissement, Commune, Section Rural.

• Find Schools per: Name, address, students, teachers based on :

o Geo location: National, Department, Arrondissement, Commune, Section Rural.

o Drill down capability to show :

? students per grade, subjects

? Student ratio per teachers

? Students on financial support (subsidy.. UNICEF student kits, grant, loan...), regular tuition

• Find Teachers per: Name, address, students, schools based on :

o Geo location: National, Department, Arrondissement, Commune, Section Rural.

3. An Auto-UID Engine based on a 32-Hex triplet algorithm schemes which guarantee uniqueness.

Each of the entities: Student, schools, and Teachers will be assigned an standardize UID at the creation of a profile. This ID will be used as the unique identifier to tract each of the entities.

4. In summary the solution will provide the following capability as its core within the first two phases:

? Ability to assign unique identifiers to be used for students, teachers, and schools

? Ability to Track students using unique identifier

? Ability to follow the progress of the student throughout the primary with regards to performance

? Ability to provide information on the financial assistance awarded to the student, other than the regular subsidy for tuition (i.e.: UNICEF student kits, grant, loan...)

? Ability to query and update students specific data

? Ability to query and update schools and teachers specific data

? Ability to provide basic school information (address and/or GPS location, contact information, name and contact of Headmaster/Director and the category of the school (public, non-public )

? Ability to provide school profile and history of inspection by head inspector
