Project Description

The objective of the website is to give information of latest events happening in the city. The home page has only the currently running or upcoming events sorted based on the end date of the event. (The earlier the event closes, the higher the priority).

There would be an image panel on the top which shows the popular events in the city. This panel should somewhat look like the slider in [url removed, login to view] It should slide only when the user hovers the mouse off the center of the panel.

The rest of the website more or less looks like [url removed, login to view]
There has to be a calendar on the right side panel. If the user clicks on a particular date, it should take user to the events happening/happened/will happen on that date.

There should be a panel on the website which allows the user to choose a Location, Category of the Event, Venue of the event, Performer in the event etc. But this panel should float in the page and move along with the page when user goes down.

The events appearing in the home page will have a link beside that to 'the venue of the event', 'the performer in the event, 'the category of the event'. There has to be a separate page for these three elements. Venue page, performer page, category page etc., These pages should have a jquery template which allows the user to see all the images of the corresponding event, the description of the event, google map plugin etc., These pages should also show below the past events happened in the venue or the past events by this performer or the past events in this category etc.,
