We are looking for someone to take a set of existing HTML mock-ups (created by our designer) and turn them into a dynamically generated site. This is a redesign of our site, the original was in Flash/Flex but this time we are looking for something using web standards.
- Technology used
The original web server was JBoss JSP, but PHP or [url removed, login to view] MVC are acceptable as well.
- Description of Work
Our current developer started this work using [url removed, login to view] MVC 2.0 but he has become too busy working on other projects, so we need to bring in more help. The job is to take the HTML files provided and using data from our database generate an ecommerce page. We only sale one item at a time so the look and feel of the page will be based on that one item.
The Home Page’s images, prices, etc.. will be based on a query for the “current” item in the database. Also if the user is known, we will display the prices in that person’s country of orgin.
There will be other pages for purchase history, order status, …
If a user clicks on the “buy” button we need to determine if they are a new users or not. If they are a new user then they need them to be directed to register now page, otherwise they will be taken directly to a “Check-out” screen. Where they can confirm their order and pay using PayPal. For this we need to have PayPal integrated. Note we currently have PayPal NVP working but since the old site was in flash, we transitioned the user to the PayPal site instead of using the PayPal cart.
