Integration with Joomla Alpha Points [url removed, login to view] and IJoola Guru to do the following
Either, through the online training facility or through attending in-house training or some other achievement we need to be able to reward the carers with points (my wife wants to call them “Acorns”, not sure I agree yet but hey ho).
Therefore, when we load up a training event of any kind, we need the facility to allocate a certain amount of points to it. If the carer then passes the test or somehow demonstrates on-line that they have completed the training, their account will automatically be credited with the amount of points that we stipulated the test was worth.
In addition, we need the facility to manually add points to their account. We might decide to add 20 points each time they attend an in-house event, or we might decide to add 50 points each time one of their children achieves a certain grade at school. To be honest we might add any number of points for any number of reasons so it is important that we can manually add to and adjust their account.
They need the facility, as part of the carer login screen, to view how many points they have accrued and see a list of how that total is made up, together with details of what they did and when. We will additionally use this information for Oftsed purposes when proving that the carers have had sufficient training and achieved positive outcomes for the children in their care.
I don’t want it to be too complicated, but we want them to be incentivised to add points to their total (we will probably say 1 point or “acorn” = £1) so they can easily see how much their annual bonus will be.
