Project Description

The current live website [url removed, login to view] is done in Java and this project is to convert the site into a Joomla [url removed, login to view] website. This project is 80% converting the current site as you see it and 20% improvements based on the capabilities of Joomla.

You will need to create a template, a component, and some modules and a plugin.
None of these are particulary complex or large and i am looking for someone to do straight forward Joomla programming and not to spend a lot of time finding solutions for problems. Note that entering the data from the RSS feeds is done by a separate application and is NOT part of this project which only deals with the website.

Most important aspect is that you produce code in complience with Joomla [url removed, login to view] so that the delivered component and modules form a solid basis for future enhancements. Aspects dealing directly with functionality such as how to build a query or changes required to the DB will be handled jointly with me.

BEFORE placing a bid please read both attachments for more details.

If interested please make a bid with your initial estimate.
If i feel you have a suitable profile i will provide you with a copy of the database along with PHP test pages containing the queries to be used. You will be given an opportunity to look at these in detail before finalising your bid.

( Also some time ago a coder did some work on a template for Joomla 1.6, it was not finished but you should be able to re-use substantial sections from it. I will give you a copy of the unfinished template as i got it as an installable .zip file )
