Project Description

Hello everybody,

We are seeking an experienced development team to create a unified system that integrates location based services, geo-location, as well as implement an easy to use portal for merchants, users, and admins that is accessible via our website and mobile browser.

Our goal is to create a system that allows mobile merchants to create an online profile and easily ping their location (manually or automatically).

After they ping their location, an icon will be displayed on the interactive map (google maps) the exact location of the merchant to web and mobile users. Users will be able to determine the exact location of these merchants. This map will be an integral part of the website, mapping different merchants in different locations.

By clicking the icons on the map, users will be able to navigate the merchant’s personal profile where they have access to information that is pre-populated by the merchant or system admins.

Users of the website will be have the option to view all merchants within their vicinity as well as in other cities via geolocation or based on manual input (address, interest, etc).

The system should be accessible via the web and also on mobile browsers. Eventually (beyond v1 of system) the system should also be accessible via native mobile apps (iOS & Android).

The website should be the primary access point to the system and should provide three (3) portals - one for each app.

Application 1 – Administration Application

Function: Displays analytics and reports on each merchant.

- Create profile and log into system.

- Ability to activate and deactivate each merchant/network of merchants

- Ability to modify, add, or delete profiles of merchants as well as contents of profiles.

- Ability to access analytical data (unique visitors, visitors, total traffic, etc)

- Ability to set up different payment plans and methods from merchants.

Application 2 – User Application

Function: Enable primary users of the website the option to view all merchants within their vicinity via geolocation or based on manual input (address, interest, etc). Users can pick which merchant that interests them and see their profile.

- Create profile to remember previously viewed merchants

- View ratings from [url removed, login to view]

- View and input ratings for each merchant

- Promote menus/specials/promotions and reward frequent shoppers

Application 3 – Merchant Application

Function: Enable merchants to create, manage and communicate menus, specials, and updates from their end. Merchants will also be able to control when their location will be pinged and have an option to disable tracking.

- Create a profile similar to that of foursquare

- Create menus/specials/promotions

- Manage menus/specials/promotions

- Promote menus/specials/promotions and reward frequent shoppers

We must be able to bill the merchant that chooses to be promoted or ‘featured’.

The above-mentioned features are a basic summary of what we want the system to be. Upon selection of the winning development team, we will go further in depth on specifics of the program/software/website.

Creating Version 1 of the system

1. In each portal, there should be a unified layout and look and feel to the system.

2. The production of the v1 of the project should be a month or less and subsequent upgrades should be added to this functionality. This project will be ongoing over the coming months and the development company should be prepared to provide service level agreements for maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

3. The selected company will be provided with flowcharts on how we envision the system functioning. The price to produce v1 of this project should be $3,000 or less. Your estimate should outline what you can deliver for the v1 of this project, how you would integrate the system, how the system will evolve over time and associated costs.
