Project Description

We are looking for an experienced developer who will create a brand new website for our communications company. The new website will replace our current website. Our current site was developed in PHP.

We would like you to host the under development website on a temporary URL address during the project so we can view the work in progress and provide feedback as the project progresses.

Good communications skills will be important in order to complete this project. You need to have a good understanding and command of the English language.

We will provide a basic design layout and will provide the web content.

The new website will need to maintain the current look and feel i.e. colour scheme etc. Most of our customers are business customers so we are looking for a Corporate finish.

We wish to maintain all the features on our current website [url removed, login to view] and add:-
> E-commerce (online shop) for hardware products.
> Complete an online form (Service) we receive an email of the completed form.
> Complete an online customer application form to order our services (10 forms).
> New Facebook setup.
> Chat now section
> Cost calculator (Phone bill analysis).
> Cost calculator (Call cost to different destinations).
> Front page banner add scrolling (5 adds)
> Link to our Filemaker database (job system)
> Please provide a toll that will allow us to measure the number of customers viewing our website.

The website needs to be able to be fully functional and be opened on Apple PC’s, Apple i-Phones, Apple i-Pad’s, Android, Internet Explorer and the most common internet browsers. The site needs to be industry standard and comply with (HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, XSLT, DOM, MathML, SVG etc.) and pursue best practices (Valid code, accessible code, semantically correct code, user-friendly URLs etc.)

We are looking for an ongoing site maintenance relationship and other ongoing work. You will need to be able to provide some training on entering data and managing the eCommerce part of the new website.
