Project Description

We are looking for quotes and estimates.

I am looking for some website design to be completed for a new project we have.

I am wanting someone to design it using Dreamweaver design package or a mix of software that is accessible by us so that a trained person can edit everything our end when needed. The site must be fully customizable from our end by someone with knowledge of dreamweaver we want the site to develop and expand itself over time with the input of our customers and clients so pages will need to be able to automatically be added on a agreed template formats and will be required to link into other areas automatically on the site.

We are looking at making this an exciting online brand that will hopefully service a global market in time.

We will have a separate team of graphic designers who will need to be able to upload & swap logos, images and videos to the site after the basic site structure has been completed so a list of images required for the website will have to be drawn up, I understand this will require some sorting but to keep the website idea confidential at present this is the only way we can see it working.

Basics over all of the site is as follows:

1, Initial arrival page of the site (very basic, google home page style couple of main options and some links to other parts of the site)

2, Main (Home) page search engine for the whole site.

3, Map search area page something like: [url removed, login to view] But for advertisers ont he site only.

4, Postcode search Page (Similar to 3)

5, Business Log in Area - Access to there own listings, so they can amend there listing, change there subscription level, upload photos, videos and update there calender of events, offers and deals. An area where everyone will be able to update information about there own area or specialist service within the Wiki.

6, Public Log in Area - will allow public to add pages to the Wiki, expand on already inputted information, Upload photos and videos to the Public Video and picture area. (something like photo bucket on a smaller scale)

7, Back area for ourselves to check listings are correct before they go live & to check any uploads onto the site are within company guidelines for the site (a holding area).

8, Wiki area - information on the services that the website will be promoting. again a example [url removed, login to view] (not this style at all just showing a private wiki for another site)

9, A calender area - somewhere that lists everything that has been added to it from businesses or the public

10, A Chat forum area.

11, Eventually we are looking to develop a Mobile App with GPS functionality - please advise if you do this.

All websites listed are just examples not specific examples or styles this has not been fully researched yet.

I am looking for some ideas on costings, timescales etc for getting something along these lines designed and developed, any suggestions on prefered methods or packages you would suggest i.e. joomla link ins, easy content management etc.. what I want is the whole website to run mainly from the business and public areas so any uploaded photos is also visible in photos area which will also be searchable by area codes and services along with the calender being a central information area where everyone meetings show up whether public or from a business.

The website must also have several manageable promotional areas as these will be charged for usage to businesses, subscriptions will be on a monthly basis and will require to be automatically processed by a valid credit or debit card we have the facilities for this but it will need to be added to the site and be functional, im sure there is plenty more.

I would like to think of the website a little like an interactive shopping cart where stock can never run out and the business and public information about the stock/service is what keeps you coming back for more.
