We envision a website with eCommerce and CMS capabilities. Users should be able to create an account which allows them to purchase goods from other users, sell their own goods, interact with other members, and contribute content.

The eCommerce section should be a combination of detailed customization of selling options with an elegant purchasing experience. Each user will have their own “shop” which can be accessed directly or through the individuals items dispersed throughout the central storefront per categorization. Selling should be intuitive and customizable similar to those found on sites such as eBay and Amazon. Unique selling options include buy, bid, and/or trade options. Purchasing items will primarily take place through the central storefront which should be elegant and intuitive in a gallery-style similar to Etsy.

Social Networking:

Members should be able to send private messages to other members, interact in forums, and participate in the educational system. These aspects should be primarily integrated in the other sections.

The educational section is a central location for users to submit articles, how-to’s, tips, blogs, and other material. The interface should be easy to use and understand in similar fashion to sites like Blogger. Capabilities should include uploading pictures and videos. The content should be accessed directly via the user’s “shop” (same shop as in eCommerce) or via the central educational outlet.

We understand that this is a rather complex project and wish to pursue this in two stages. The first stage, the one you are currently viewing, will consist of a website overview and wire-frame. A following project will be to create a working site, to include graphic design, which will be open to all bidders with preference given to the winner of the first contract.

Please restrict your bid to the initial stage of this project.
