OSCommerce Sub Category Drop Down List

For my oscommerce site I need to be able to filter my products by a sub category. Currently I can only filter products by the pin down navigation on the left. It is set up as follows:
A. Main Category 1(shows all products in Main Category 1)
i. Main 1 Sub Nav A (clicking sub nav shows only these products)
ii. Main 1 Sub Nav B
[url removed, login to view] 1 Sub Nav C
[url removed, login to view] Category 2
i. Main 2 Sub Nav A
[url removed, login to view] 2 Sub Nav B
[url removed, login to view] 2 Sub Nav C
ETC.
I to select the sub navigations as a filter field above where the products are listed as apposed to via the pin down menu. Its probably fairly easy - but I can't figure it out. Need as soon as possible!
