Our web site is based on OS Commerce 2.3, we want to build a web shop that allows users to register either as sellers or standard customers (default in OS Commerce). Sellers can add edit products to the catalog after payment through paypal or any other payment module only once when registration.
What we want:
When registration if the user is interested to sell products he should pay a one time fee to sell his product after admin verification. The customer will directly communicate with the user for delivery and payment. Seller phone number email should be added. The seller could use paypal for his payment or cash on delivery. Seller rating should also be added.
When registered as seller, the user has the possibility to add their own products to the website main catalog , the same way as an administrator would do. Products added by manufacturers has to be validated by the admin before being shown in the catalog.
During the registration, the seller has to give information about his personal or company, a logo (jpg, gif or png) and a url to their website. Those information are stored in the manufacturer table in the database so that the information in the manufacturer table can be reused as attended by OScommerce.
Once registered and approved by an administrator, users can add products. The administrator gets a notice by mail and can validate the product in the admin panel. The added product is then displayed in the catalog.
-We need a distinctions between standard users and users who can add products (manufacturers).
-When the product is added, manufacturer should be able to update or delete their products.
-Extra fields are needed in the registration page for manufacturers (manufacturer description, logo and url).
-Manufacturer accounts need to be linked with the manufacturer table.
- Some graphical enhancement on the site.
