Project Description

We have a WP site running of the Organic Shop template (a responsive woocommerce theme).

Our site url is [url removed, login to view]

The theme provides a default header image at the backend theme settings. It also provides the option to designate a different header image for each page by placing the corresponding url in the specified field on the backend of each page. However, this option is overridden for Woocommerce pages, and thus the default header image shows for all woocommerce templates (shop, archive product, cart, checkout, etc.) There is also no option to place a unique header image for the archive and category pages (i.e. for posts, etc.)

FIRST, we want to add a different header image to various woocommerce pages.

For example, we want our Shop landing page to have the header image with url: ""

The code in the theme's function php for header image is as follows:

/* ------------------------------------------------

Page Header

------------------------------------------------ */

function page_header( $url ) {

global $data; //fetch options stored in $data

$header_url = '';

// If custom page header is set

if ( $url != '' ) {

$header_url = $url;

// If default page header is set and custom header is not set

if ( $data['default_header_url'] && $url == '' ) {

$header_url = $data['default_header_url'];

$output = '

// If either of the above is set

if ( $header_url != '' ) {

$output .= '';

$output .= '

return $output;

Again, we'd like to do this for the main shop page, as well as the product-archive templates (at least I think that's the right template) so that each product Category (and each Subcategory) landing page has a different header image as follows (and as outlined at [url removed, login to view]):

Eco-Store (Women's Clothing / Men's Clothing / Accessories and Books)

Bio-Live Foods (Bio Live Elixir Powder / Bio Live Life Force Chocolates / Bio-live Nuts & Seeds)

Special Guests

SECOND, we are also using The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro plugins for our event listings. I believe this widget relies upon the theme's category (or archive) page template. We would like to add a unique header image to the landing page for "lists" of specific event categories (e.g. Retreats, Special Guests, Workshops, Yoga). For example, this category or archive page: [url removed, login to view]

I have some experience with coding, but am stumped on this. If you point me in the right direction, I think I can do the leg work.

I've attached the [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] and category.php.

Thank you.

THE TWO ISSUES ABOVE ARE OUR PRIORITY. The following two are other small issues we are stumped on. Please bid the above separately, and then add the next two as we are on a tight budget. Thank you.

THIRD, there is a large gap at the bottom of our footer widgets (which is apparent upon visiting our site) - I've tried to manipulate the margins and padding, but to no avail. I think it has something to do with the 4th column?

FOURTH, when you click on the events listing landing page ([url removed, login to view]), the title of the first event shows as the main header title. This is the same for each event category (e.g. [url removed, login to view]). We would like this title to instead be the Meny title (e.g. Full Listing or Special Guests). I've set this in the space provided on the backend menu, but it seems to be overridden by the theme. It worked fine for twenty eleven theme, but there seems to be a conflict with Organic Shop theme).

Thank you!!
