Project Description

Swickly is a self-publishing music sharing website. Musicians create a profile and they upload their recorded songs online. People can buy those songs with Swickly taking a commission from the purchase. Similar to music sites but easy for any musician to do. The main difference however is the aim to coincide with music venues. Music venues can create profiles and if they like a musician, they can message them and try to arrange concerts. The tickets to these concerts will also be sold on the site.

Appeals to musicians: able to sell music and aim to sign on for concerts.
Appeals to purchasers: Cheap way to buy music which wouldn't be discovered elsewhere.
Appeals to venues: cheap way to get talented performers.

Ideally there would be 4 main pages. One titled shop where you can buy the music. One titled concerts where tickets can be sold. One titled library, where the purchased music would be stored. And one titled upload/ profile where musicians can edit their profiles and upload their music. On the homepage for concerts, it will show who's performing with a link to the band's profile, the venue and the price of tickets which people can purchase there. Website should look very modern.
