Project Description

Travel Agent Dashboard

We are a host travel agency with a team of outside independent agents that work through our agency. We would like you to develop a Travel Agent Dashboard to centralize many of the functions that are now done offline and though several other sites. We have divided the project up into several modules. Some of the modules will be for our agents to create consumer web sites and some will be for the consumers themselves to create travel blog sites.

All pages should have a CMS system for admin to make changes to pages.

Commission Module:

What we have so far:

We have our own in-house offline Microsoft Access application that we developed and have used for years. The program tracks travel agent commissions, vendor payments and generates reports.

The system consists of several relational databases, the databases are already built. They need to be editable online by the Admin where all fields can be added and deleted.

The relational databases are all written and the program works correctly in Access. But we would like you to adapt it for the internet and make it so the admin and the agents can use it in real time.

Customer Marketing Manger Module:

Agents should be able to maintain a database of customers, contact info, travel interests, travel history, etc.

Consumer Web Site for agents

The idea behind this module is to have a main site that our Admin controls and then to create a “white label” type of system that our agents control for their site.

Booking Engine Widget

One of our main functions is making reservations for our clients or our agents clients. We use a booking engine to do this. The booking engine widget is a search box for making reservations that can be dropped into other websites, emails, etc.

We have the coding for the airline; car and hotel booking engine that would need to be adapted to this widget. So basically we need a similar widget like most travel sites have but with the following tabs:

Flights – Hotels – Cars – Cruises – Vacations – Concert tickets – Theater tickets – Sports Tickets.

Consumer Travel Blog Site Module

We would like consumers to have their own travel blog site. This can be adapted using the [url removed, login to view] program.

Customer Loyalty Module

The idea behind this module is to reward loyal customers. When a customer buys an airline ticket they are given a coupon for $10 off their next concert ticket, $10 off their next cruise, etc. So we need a system that the admin can keep track of the awards given out and the rewards used. The customer would need a way to also keep track of what rewards they have earned and what rewards they have used.

Honeymoon Registry Module

We would like to incorporate a honeymoon registry. There are several sites that have nice honey registries: like honeymoonwishes .com. Couples create a wish list of components of a dream trip or event tickets. Couples tell their guests about the registry, this can be through social media integration or email announcements.

The registry would need to be “White Label” so that the travel agent sites can create their own honeymoon registry site as well. So we would need an admin site for the travel agent and one for the super admin. The bride and guests also need to be able to log in and all need password retrieval.

General Questions:

Please let us know what this would cost and how long it would take.

Please explain you milestones.

Upon return of a non-disclosure agreement we will provide a more detailed flow chart of the project. But this should give you a very good idea of what is involved.

Thank you for your time and thoughts on this project.

We look forward to working with you.
