Project Description

Could you please send over a quotation and break it down into each different component. I need different costings for things such as - ‘email notification’, ‘paypal integration’, ‘log in area’, ‘web design’ etc....

The website is to act a booking platform for courses of the ‘Safe Pass’ certification in the Republic Of Ireland. The visitor will be looking to search the website for a specific area of ireland, which they can then see how many available spaces there are for that chosen course. They can then book the course on the website. All course information will need to be uploaded to the website by the specific trainer for that course, using a log in area. We have designed a PSD of the website, which will need converting into html and css. Along with the design of all the other pages of the site. Most will follow a standard template, apart from the booking area which will require some basic design work.

Interactive Map

As you can see on the jpeg i have attached, there is a map of Ireland. You will need to make this interactive and when the cursor goes over a specific county, it then highlights that county with its name enlarged (maybe in a bubble). This will need to work on all iphones etc so needs to be javascript.

Visitor Process

Visitor will enter the website looking for a course for a ‘safe pass’ certification (necessity for all Irish builders and tradesmen). When they come to the website, they will need to see a map of all the different counties in Ireland (46 of them). When they click on a chosen county, they are then taken through to another page which lists all of the courses in that specified area. This list will consist of all the above information which the ‘trainer’ can upload onto the website. All of the courses must show up to date availability of all the courses. So when a ‘visitor’ makes one booking, there is then one less space left for that chosen course. The ‘visitor’ will then choose a course and then make a payment of a set deposit fee ($20), this will be a paypal payment system, similar to ‘www.clearwhiteteeth.co.uk. The user then receives an email upon successful payment. The trainer for this specific course will also receive an email notification of the individual booking. Once the visitor has clicked through on the specific county, the next page lists all of the courses in that specific area. The admin will also need the ability to choose alternative course which may be of interest to the visitor. i.e course in neighbouring counties.

Trainer Process

The ‘trainers’ themselves will need the ability to log into the website and then update their course information, which includes the below criteria:

1. Location

2. Price

3. Availability of spaces

4. Basic course information

They will also need to receive email notification when a ‘visitor’ makes a booking to their course.

It is likely that one trainer will need to upload several different course for a specific area.

Paypal integration

• Basic set up without customisation

• One ‘set price’ which will not change (this acts as a deposit for the course which will be set at 20 euros)

General Specs

• Map customisation of republic of Ireland (when they hover it will highlight the area)

• No CMS is required for the owner of the site to make changes to any of the contents of the site

• Requires log in for ‘trainer’

• Paypal set up

• Email notification

• 5-10 pages of website information

• Contact form

Email Notification System

• When visitor makes a booking they need a confirmation email of their space, along with receipt of paypal payment

• When a booking is made, another confirmation email must be sent to the specific trainer who had uploaded their curs information.
