Project Description

The winning bidder shall design a logo and themed website for a company selling pet lambs (sheep) to the general public in Australia.

The logo will be the centrepiece of the website theme design, as well as being suitable for use in other contexts (such as printed promotional material).

The website shall be on a WordPress platform, and can be either a custom designed theme or a reworked pre-existing template. In either case, the winning bidder shall create a website that is:

- Easy to update, edit and extend, even for someone with very little website admin knowledge

- Written in robust, clean code according to WordPress development standards

- Tested and working as expected in all major browsers

- Capable of handling popular plugins

- Constructed with the principles of search engine optimisation in mind

- Suitable theme for the content matter (see below)

Content (photographs, text, and basic site structure) will be provided. The successful bidder can elect to include additional content if necessary. The principal challenge will be working this into a theme that appears professional (i.e. not straight 'out of the box' blog style WordPress template) and suitable for the content matter (I am picturing a fun and playful ‘green’ design). The content itself will be very simple, with probably in five main sections:

1) Homepage (with ‘latest news’ sub section)

2) Facts & FAQ’s

3) Gallery

4) Purchase (enquire/ place an order)

5) About

I am happy to take design and website structure advice from creative designers.

This is not a time critical project. I would prefer a bidder who is able to take the time to do a thorough job over a speedy and rushed delivery.

Milestone will be a mock-up image of website theme + watermarked logo for review and approval. I would also like an opportunity to review the completed site design and make any changes if necessary before it is finalised.

The winning bidder must also be willing to provide follow up support if necessary (i.e. fix any bugs that only become apparent after the handover) and provide clear instructions for updating and extending the website (in cases where the methodology is not immediately obvious).

Examples of previous designs will be a major consideration in differentiating between bidders. Unless you have an impressive portfolio and numerous positive reviews, please don't bother bidding towards the top end of this price range.

Completion of this project to a high standard will likely lead to further work (ongoing support paid on an hourly basis, and development of other sites)

Please inbox me should you require more information. I am able to provide the photographs and text content I have available (should that be of help during the the conceptual design stages for bidding).

Thanks for your interest and look forward to reviewing your bids!
