Project Description

I am wanting to develop a website in the Genesis framework where I have purchased this along with the AgentPress child theme. The requirement is a customized child theme.

The site will be used to show a selection of cars for the purpose of wedding hire where I shall work as an agent/middleman between potential clients and supplier of vehicles.

I have in fact started on the development of this site but the Genesis theme and AgentPress child theme needs some customization and additions to meet my needs and I am having difficulty in this area.

The intention is that the site should be clean and appeal to younger persons where I don’t want a load of fancy stuff cluttering the site. So, in other words simple and easy to use. An example site is provided here [url removed, login to view] . This site works well and very near to this is what I am after.

Differing from the above however and an improvement I feel is if the site could incorporate a system where an interested client could click on a box attached to a particular vehicle posting and then have that vehicle automatically added to an enquiry form. It should also be possible that potential clients could add perhaps up to ten vehicles via separate posts to the enquiry form (a bit like a shopping cart) where on entering the enquiry form it was partially completed with the chosen vehicle/s and ready for submission after completing name and address etc. The possibility of selecting ten vehicles should be changeable from an administration point. The form should also self check that required fields are completed and upon sending, a html email is sent to the person sending saying something like we are dealing with your request. Here is our telephone number etc. and these are the cars you have enquired about. Images could also be included to help them remember what they enquired about. I should receive much the same.

Another form should exist that permits vehicle owner to add their cars to the site though not made public until approval. This must be easy to do and allow for multiple images to be uploaded also. Perhaps the inclusion of Gravity Form. The form should also incorporate some sort of vehicle reference so that when the email is received by myself I know which vehicle has been enquired about.

There should also be some hidden fields related to the vehicle owner. Such fields should include the vehicle owners name address, telephone numbers etc. so enabling me to identify the person to contact in relation to any given vehicle.

The general presentation should be similar to [url removed, login to view] with graphics used to entice an enquiry. I have attached two images to give you some idea of how I am thinking.

At this point, if you have not read through this text you will not be aware that I shall only reply to persons that provide the reference of Michelle. If I do not see the word Michelle in your reply, I will know that you have not taken the time to read through this.

I dabble around with websites and am not an expert so, additional ideas that could improve upon what I have mentioned here would not go amiss. Site presentation with regards to graphics, borders and the like I will discuss further but in any event, the site should be clean and simple. What I would like incorporated is a header image that can dissolve between two or more graphics.

I would feel happier where a designer was to ask me additional questions and put ideas forward. Site speed I would be concerned about as many graphs will exist in the selection of vehicles based on perhaps vintage.

I am not looking for the cheapest of quotes. What I am looking for is communication between you the designer and myself so that the end result is not a disappointment. Here is a site [url removed, login to view] where if you hover over the images, additional information is given. Very tidy to my mind. This could lead to additional work with regards to a payment system also at some later time.

Thanks You.
