Project Description

This project was awarded in error, and has been relisted - I wish to get it started soon! I encourage previous bidders to bid again - those under $400

Project Description:

Would like some help. Purchased a Wordpress theme that needs customising:

Theme is Geocraft theme, bought ready-made and already installed and partially populated with a few listings. Here are the changes I need:

The theme search is not great, so I need some cross-search & menu navigation help. I have made custom menus.

The website is an Australian professional search website with business listings. I want users to be able to search by speciality and location

The Geocraft theme already has a search box that I don't want changed, it's not comprehensive enough

I want users to be able to search by either location, then speciality or specialty then location

At the moment I have made some custom menus for each, but I need a way to cross-reference the two - for example, to find a specialist child support lawyer in Sydney, the user would go into maybe the state listing first, then the city - Sydney and then select from the speciality. So my simple custom menus don't work for this - it's either one choice or the other, exclusive of each other which is no help.

So I need someone to help me work out the menu to work in a combined way,

Part of this search customisation would also need to simplify how the business lister (when entering their business into the database) selects the categories that they want to be in in a more user-friendly way. The way they are at the moment, they select their location, then they have to keep scrolling down to select their speciality (which are still both separate when it comes to search using these custom menus).

I would like for them to be able to separately select their location (I do not have all locations in yet, and would have to be able to add locations as required after your fix, so it would need to be back-end friendly also)

I would like for them to then select their different speciality from a different listings selection menu

I have purchased an image map that is an iframe back to an auto generator site - it's not as comprehensive as I would like - I'd like it to be able to also select capital cities of Australia (7 more selections) - this would need to be recreated - please say if you can't do this

I would like business listers the option of putting a discount code in (that I supply to them) for a further discount when ordering)

Business listing images vary across the site - the slideshow on the front page dimensions are different to those in the actual listing and also on the catagories sliders - I would like a simple one-dimension size that would fit all without distortion

Home page design - I would need help laying out the main content area of the front page so that the image map, and custom menu searches are accessible from both the front page and side columns

I think that's it!

Please don't apply unless you understand exactly what I need - thank you.
