Project Description

The website is 80% done...The core functions are there... But we still need to build 3 other things....

1) Integration with Paypal......When a member first places the order, a box will open and capture the credit card data/amount (we will also know the amount and expected shipment date)...The system should also check if the system has his credit card number before. The Paypal system should be able to "service" non-Paypal members as well. Think Paypal has this function called delayed capture. So instead of billing straight away, we will wait until the merchandise is shipped then we charge the member 3 days after.

2) We also need to build a notification system. The first notification is to be sent one week after the member joining. We will send an email asking the member to fill in the blank and tell us what kind of goods he or she is interested in...And the whole passage would just be stored as a comment next to the member ID in the database. The second notification is the system needs to send out a notification 1 day before the expected shipment date and ask if the member still wants the goods or the member can click on a link and go to the website and cancel the good or modify the date of shipment. If the member modify the date of shipment, the system send another notification the day before the date of new shipment. The third notification is 3 days after shipment we send another email asking if the goods arrive then without further notificaiton from the user we are going to debit the credit card now + a link to ask member to review the experience with us.

3) Review system...Once a member clicks on the review link, he can input his review and the review will show on the page of the seller and buyer. Like eBay really....

The website is built on Symfony and we plan to host on AWS/Linux.....
