This project involves creating an executable program which will do for other format image files what PDF Stamp ([login to view URL]) does for pdfs. Namely, I would need to batch stamp many images, and be able to put what is called a "bates stamp" or enumerating number stamp in the lower right hand corner of the actual image. I should be able to select prefixes, select zero padding, choose the font type and size I want, and color. It shouldn't reduce the resolution of the image at all. And there should be an undo function. Ideally the program would output the altered file to a folder of my choosing (with browse function). It should be able to work with single images or to number each page in a group image (multi-page).
## Deliverables
Further explanation:
The stamp would always be text. And I suppose it would be good to be able to choose where it goes, and select font and size... If the font selection has to be limited for some reason, then Times New Roman, Arial and Verdana would be the choices, 8, 12, 24, 48 sizes. But if it doesn't have to be limited, that would be best.
I'd like to be able to input a prefix, say "CMD" or anything of my choosing, letters, numbers, symbols or spaces, followed by a beginning number which would then go up one integer with each successive image. For example, I'd highlight or load the group of images into the interface, and starting with image [login to view URL], I could get the enumerator to number each successive tiff CMD00001, CMD00002, etc. and stamp the tiff. Once saved, this should become part of the tiff. The undo probably should undo everything on that particular task. However, if I processed that batch of files again, to say, put a "confidential" red stamp at the top, and I undid that red stamp to move it, then I would like undo to only undo that red stamp and not the prior CMD numbers already afixed. See?
As far as which image types, the most common is law use is tiff so that is a must. Gif and Jpeg would be good too if that was possible. Moreover, it should be able to stamp successive numbers on a group of single tiffs, or one tiff that has several pages (called a group tiff).
I think that covers it.
