Project Description

I would like an application that captures the data from what I believe to be a live Java data stream at this site: [url removed, login to view] If you go to the site and then click on the FTSE or Wall Street 'Betting Highlights' links you'll see a variety of Bet and Lay streaming prices. I'd like to capture this data stream in order to manipulate it. The first step is to capture this data in the most efficient way possible. The app would have a drop-down menu in order to choose the market to capture and after the user has chosen the market the app would then capture the stream in such a way that the live data could be manipulated in a variety of ways (like export to Excel for instance). The second stage, which will be another project, will be to manipulate the data. This project just concerns itself with the capture of the data stream.
