We are looking to build a standalone application to search SharePoint (versions WSS 3, MOSS 2007, and 2010). We are building a 32/64 bit? .NET executable? to run on XP/Vista/Win7.? To this end, we first want to engage a group of SharePoint experts in a dialog regarding the design, architecture? and feature set of the proposed application.? ? We will select up to five (5) pros to participate in this project.? Your only obligation is to participate in an online group disussion and provide your insight.? This is NOT a real-time discussion so you can participate at your convenience.
This initial project will be conducted? via a private Wiki. The selected pros will be given login credentials and asked to contribute their ideas and insights via a discussion thread. We will start by posting a detailed description of the proposed product idea along with a series of general questions. The results of the first set of questions will be reviewed and follow-on questions will be posted. We anticipate there will be some back and forth with specific pros in each round. The total active period for the discussion will be about two weeks. Once is the discussion is complete, we will close the project and award the full project fee to? *ALL* participants. All discussions will be made available to all other pros on this project to help maximize the flow of idea. A guaranteed rating of 10 will be given to each participant, so don’t worry about how this could affect your ranking ??" it can only help.
After this project is complete, we may elect to engage some pros in extended questioning which will be covered under a second RAC project. If and when that concludes, we will gather specifications and post the "build" project for bid to all initial discussion participants.
We anticipate the initial ideation process will be completed within two weeks. Each participating pro will be paid up to $50 for his/her participation.
If you would like to participate in this discussion, please provide information regarding your SharePoint expertise and experience. Also, please indicate your main functions (architect, developer, system admin, etc). We realize SharePoint is a complicated platform so we welcome all types of participants.
