Project Description

e-mails from 1 specific folder in Outlook Express to be sorted and saved as individual ( .eml ? ) files. Sorting will consist of identifying any client specific data in the e-mail ( from address, to address, cc address or clients name -- in address fields, subject or body copy ).

Client details to be read from our access97 database - (approx 5000 records in the client database, with 1 name, 1 client ID number and up to 3 e-mail addresses for each client / record ).

The individual file saved will be named according to the original date of the e-mail and the 5 digit client ID number ( [url removed, login to view] ).

The details of the e-mail saved must also be added to a seperate table in the database, containing the following fields :

Mail_Date_Time ( format ccyymmddhhmmss )

Mail_Body ( first 200 characters from the body )

After each e-mail is checked against the full client list ( 1 e-mail may be saved for multiple clients ), the e-mail must be deleted from the folder, leaving only those which could not be matched.

The OE6 folder path & name and the destination folder name must be read from an ini file at run-time.
