Project Description

We need a website developed on a CMS such as WordPress, Joomla!, DotNet Nuke, etc., that will be

used as the hub for a professional organization to allow people to sign up and pay for memberships,

communicate information to members, etc.

Here is an example of a site we like: [url removed, login to view] however the site is slow loading and incorporates

Flash, which I don't want to use, because we want the site to be both standards and platform compliant.

Here are their specifications:

. Dues/Invoices

For the Online Membership Application, Education Calendar, Event Calendar & Dues/Invoices sections

they all need to have access to make a payment for both Member & Nonmember pricing.

On our backend we need to hold the member contact information and have them listed as members so

they get the correct billing on events & education. Nonmembers should be able to create a Nonmember

Member Profiles can have the following – Photo, Logo, Contact Information, Bio and link to their

webpage. When they are in the Member Section we would like them to be able to send messages to

another Member through the system.

We will want the ability to upload images & video in the ‘In the News’ section.

We would like to not show the email but have a contact page where they fill out their information and

send blindly to the member.

We would like to have some areas for advertising space. We would like to have less scrolling then the

AAREA site and with a much cleaner and stylish look.

The site would need to be easily administrated via the web browser, which is why we want it developed

on something like WordPress or Joomla!
