On our current Wordpress based web site we have a section called the "Journal" where we display a issues/articles based series of posts. Each Issue in the Journal has a series of articles assigned to a specific category in WP called "Issue 01" or "Issue 02" etc. To see the current page example, click here: [url removed, login to view]
We need to upgrade this Journal display page with a couple of new features/fixes:
1. The Article page contains the nav panel at the top of the page showing the other articles in the issue. This is so the user can see and click other articles in the same issue. However, the code we currently are using seems to have a problem as sometimes when clicking another article in the issue the nav panel changes and begins showing other posts from different categories altogether. This needs to get fixed to work as it should. (To see example of error, click here and then click on other articles in nav panel: [url removed, login to view]
2. Originally, the Article page Nav panel was designed to only show 5 articles in the top panel. This was because the Journal was only going to have 5 posts/articles. This need has changed and now needs to support any amount of posts, and then allow the user to scroll the nav panel left to right etc. We were thinking using some kind of Jquery slider in order to do this, but need someone to implement along with the fixed code in #1.
Neither of these should be difficult for the right person, so we are hoping to have this done quickly for a low cost.
