Project Description

We are currently developing a site using DirectoryPress ( [url removed, login to view] ) and require some help customizing the listings area with our Ad manager. We are using Simple Ads Manager ( [url removed, login to view] ) and need help breaking into the directorypress theme to add these ad positions. We have created a screenshot of what we are looking for. The development site and the example area can be view online here: [url removed, login to view]~jax4kids/category/special-needs/

You will notice how the premium listings are on top and the basic listings are on the bottom. We ultimately want 2 ad positions created dynamically.

One position will be for the premium listings area and will display an ad every 5 listings.

Second position will be for the basic listings area and will also display an ad every 5 listings.

These ad places will need to be dynamic and also need to be controlled by category. So for example, if you are on the page BIRTHDAY PARTIES ( [url removed, login to view]~jax4kids/category/birthday-parties/ ) we want to have ad places specifically created for this type of area. So you would see birthday party ads only. And if you click to SPORTS ( [url removed, login to view]~jax4kids/category/sports/ ) you will be seeing all ads that are in our sports banner ad place. We also want an ad place that would allow for an ad to show throughout the entire site in these positions as well.

Much of this will be working within the Ad manager and setting up all the ad positions for each of the areas of the site. Then once that is done, you can connect these positions to the correct areas dynamically through the php code so that all positions are showing in the right areas of the website based on category or topic.
