I am wanting a Plugin for Wordpress that will create a calendar of Event posts that works in IE 7, 8, 9, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome.
Here is a list of requirements:
Backend Requirements:
- shortcodes
- Create 'Events' similar to the pages area of Wordpress
- Event categories in custom colors
- Post options 'Name of Event', 'Date', 'Location', 'Time Start', 'Time End', 'Hosting or Attending (status with small logo picture)', 'Description', 'Photo', 'Featured Image'
- be able to export the events so I can upload them to other software applications like Outlook, google and iCal.
- Fully HTML/CSS customizable
- google maps integration for location of event with on/off switch
- Able to add Google Calendar feeds and/or iCal/Outlook public calendars and displays the events as a calendar grid or list on a page, post or widget.
Frontend Requirements:
-RESPONSIVE layout so it looks good in a browser, an iPad and smartphones.
- Elegant look --- starting point (before custom CSS) with a similar look to this site: [url removed, login to view] it will fit on this page: [url removed, login to view] and I also like this calendar so use it for a start point [url removed, login to view] but I want it to do more.
- calendar(s) inserted into event page with shortcode.
- tab/link to different views: "month view", 'list view' and way to tab through months/years
- Mouseover html/css customizable popup event titles to see short description and date
- Category links/sort events by category
- small sidebar version (widget) for other pages
- click on event, open to full page description/map (option), picture, etc.
- Upcoming events list - options of next 1,2,3,4,5 text widget which includes a picture of the calendar date (1-31)
I am also open to other creative ideas you might have to make this even better.
