Project Description

I'm using a comment numbering plugin on my wordpress site; when I deactivate the plugin, all my comments disappear. Wordpress still displays "x number of comments So Far", but it won't show them. When I reactivate the numbered comments plugin, the comments show up again.

I got in touch with the developer of the plugin and he said this will be an error in the theme code, where the theme is incorrectly calling for a comment number without checking first to see if the plugin is active. The comments themselves are of course still there (the plugin doesn't touch comments, only counts them), it's just that the theme is not displaying them correctly.

I need someone comfortable with PHP and theme development to fix the error. Just adding the call to grab the comment number from scratch should be a straightforward solution after reading the instructions for the plugin.
