Project Description

We have a couple Wordpress websites that we recently moved to new VPS servers. One is live and one is about to go live. The sites should run faster but the database calls seem to get stuck and I think something needs to be cleaned up there. I can send privately some information that the host tech support mentioned but here was some of it...

"As you can see, the connection is established and then it takes over half a second to POLL something within that connection. Polling is when the process is waiting for some event on a file descriptor. The file descriptor in this case happens to be a connection to a remote server at [url removed, login to view]"

So I think for some reason there are some things that are pointing to the old server on the site that isn't live yet. For the site that is live, perhaps some weird forwarding is going on but something doesn't seem to be clean. The site always gets hung up for second or two before doing anything. Also, we would like to make the sites run faster through gzip compression, minifying js, and anything else you can think of. We can do this project hourly if you prefer. For now I just put the lower price range but I'm open to paying what the project is worth, I just have no idea what it would cost. Please don't break our sites. :)

Thanks, let me know what else you need to know.
