Project Description

Hello Everyone,

We currently have a website which contains several products from different manufacturers. Our site has no connection with the manufacturer's sites currently. What we would like to have is, a script or a software written which can check custom product categories on selected manufacturer's sites for the availability and enable/ disable products on our site accordingly so that when people come to our site, they dont get to see the products which are currently unavailable.

Following are the features which we would like the script or the software to perform.

1. Check manufacturer's sites everyday.

There will be around 10 sites to check and about 5000-7000 products.

2. After checking the products we would like to have one of the following on our site.

2.1.a Put an overlay image saying Out Of Stock on the "Unavailable or Discontinued Product". The script checks back the

2.1.b Remove the overlay once the product becomes available

2.2.a Change the product's image with out of stock image.

2.2.b Put the original image back once the product becomes available.

2.3.a Email the changes to site admin once everyday about all the products which are currently out of stock or have been discontinued.

2.3.b Email the products which had been out of stock / discontinued earlier and are available.

The price of the project will depend upon the features that will be delivered.

The preference will be given to the freelancer who has had some past experience doing the same thing. Also if you can add a page where the manufacturer's sites and custom product category can be added then that would be a plus.
