Project Description

The purpose of this project is to create a page on an existing printer web site that will give the end user the ability to design their own business cards online. Once they complete their design, the information gathered from their session needs to be passed along so that they can place the order for their business cards, Additionally, the design that is created needs to be converted into a print ready PDF.

This needs to be VERY user friendly and very intuitive.

The size of the card will always be 3.5" x 2" (with a printers bleed of [url removed, login to view] on all four sides that will need to be displayed). The card can be either landscape or portrait mode.

The user will have an option of selecting a background color, a background image, or upload their own photo.

They will need the ability move the image (location arrows, scale, rotate, flip, etc.)

The end user will need the ability to add text (Name, Company, Title, Address, Phone, Fax, email, web address, etc) and be able to move the text around the design area.

They will need the ability to select from a drop down list of fonts (apx 20), Change the size of the font, Bold, italics, etc.

Once the design is complete, they will see the finished product and Confirm their design. The design will then be converted to a Print Ready PDF (CMYK, 300 DPI) and stored on our server. The user is then taken to an order process page on the site (OSCommerce / CRE Loaded 6.2) where they will complete the order for their card.

This is not a job for the weak at heart :-) If you are up for the challenge, please PM me with questions or suggestions on how we can best make this work.
