I have some cars with GPS traking systems on. In order for my staff to ensure privacy during off work time, we can use a browser to hide/unhide the vehicle from our traking system.
I have written a vbScript that should use HTTP post to do the same. I.E. when I pass some parameters to the url the car should hide/unhide.
However, I dont really understand what I am doing here since I have largely copied internet articles for the HTTP Post part of my script.
I would like someone who understands vbScript to fix the problem in the script and also pass the web page response back as a parameter to use later in the script
I will provide the full script when I accept the bid but this should be enough for you to see the relevant part.
Also the error I get is as follows: Err.Number=-2147467259 Err.Source=[url removed, login to view] Err.Desc=Unspecified error
strUser = "auser"
strPassword = "password"
sVreg = "aa06+aaa"
sMode = "on" 'or off
part of the script that needs to be fixed is as follows;
sUrl = "<[url removed, login to view]>"
sRequest = "vehicle=" & sVreg & Chr(38) & "mode=" & sMode & Chr(38) _
& "username=" & strUser & Chr(38) & "password=" & strPassword
'Call the function to hide the vehicle
HTTPPost sUrl, sRequest
Function HTTPPost(sUrl, sRequest)
set oHTTP = CreateObject("[url removed, login to view]")
[url removed, login to view] "GET", sUrl & "?" & sRequest ,false
[url removed, login to view] "Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"
[url removed, login to view] "Content-Length", Len(sRequest)
HTTPPost = [url removed, login to view]
