PHP script upgrade from Google Adwords V13 to v2009

In Progress

The Problem

Currently, we have a PHP script to collect Google Adwords report data and insert it into our MySQL Database.

This script is functional for version 13 and uses the [url removed, login to view] APIlity PHP library.

We get a full keyword report regularly via XML which is parsed for database insertion, the fields we get data from are shown below.

'CustomerName', 'ExternalCustomerId','CustomerTimeZone',

'Campaign', 'CampaignStatus', 'AdGroup',

'Keyword', 'KeywordDestUrlDisplay', 'KeywordStatus',

'KeywordTypeDisplay', 'KeywordMinCPC', 'MaximumCPC', 'MaximumCPM',

'AveragePosition', 'Impressions', 'Clicks',

'Cost', 'CPC', 'CPM ', 'CTR'

The fields broadly follow a standard keyword report as you would do it from the UI

Our script follows a set template where we can either input a date as a parameter OR the script will pull yesterdays data from Google Adwords.

the script can then be crontabbed to execute when we want.

We use PHP [url removed, login to view] on a RedHat Linux Enterprise Box.

However with version 13 due to sunset we need to move our data collection to version 2009

The Solution

Take our existing template and adapt the script to v2009 methods and libraries. We will supply a current example with users and passwords redacted.

You will be able to use the google sandbox for testing.

We will test the php produced internally against our googleadwords data and verify its effectiveness.
