Project Description

Hi Guys.

There's a page of football fixtures that we require to be scraped and stored every day. From there, we'd like our server (shared hosting, but has most features enabled) to post the fixtures (as well as the sport and starttime) individually on different "optimized titled" pages with meta title, description, a random variation of spintext options which we will write ourselves and then list them on the main page. I have outlined the exact steps below:

1) The scraper should visit a webpage daily and store fixtures from it's contents such as "Barcelona v Madrid" // "Football" // "21:00" (game, sport, time). The scraper should have fail-safe mechanisms so if the scrape fails it can retry later etc.

2) The scraper should only store each fixture ONCE, xml, text, database is fine. xml probably the easiest and fastest for this situation.

3) The program should then automatically post a live html page using the data of EACH "match or event" ONCE from the scraped list (at a set time, every 12 hrs or daily etc).

4) The html pages should then contain and tags which will will set and will have the match details inserted (game, sport, time). There will be a template to then insert each match data in with *scraped match title* etc and finally, random choice of spin text where we will have our own stored spun text which will also allow for inserting the match data (again, game, sport, time etc). Example {todays|tonights} {game|match} is {SCRAPED-GAME} and {begins|starts} at {SCRAPED TIME}.

5) Each html page should output as: "[url removed, login to view]" or whatever. A random id or database id can be used in the title if required.

6) Code should then be provided to us to insert the links to the posts/pages for ALL the current stored/upcoming fixtures.
